Eberconazole

Cream

Eberconazole Cream is a topical antifungal preparation used for the treatment of superficial fungal skin infections. It helps control fungal growth and provides relief from symptoms such as itching, redness, irritation, scaling, and discomfort associated with dermatophytic and candidal infections. Eberconazole is an imidazole antifungal agent with broad-spectrum antifungal activity against dermatophytes, yeasts, and certain gram-positive bacteria associated with skin infections. This medicine is intended for external use only and should be used under medical supervision.

Mechanism

Eberconazole inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. Disruption of fungal cell membrane integrity leads to inhibition of fungal growth and eventual fungal cell death.
